IN NEW ZEALAND – APRIL 2007

We have been in New Zealand 5 weeks now and intend to head back to London on the 3rd of May.

It has been a very hectic but wonderful 5 weeks catching up with family and friends, especially spending time with our three wonderful grandchildren. We have seen little Sophie change before our eyes who is now nearly two months old!! Nicole and David organized her christening a week ago so we could be part of this special occasion, but of course Sophie knew very little of this important celebration.

In our time here we have fitted in excursions to Christchurch, Hawkes Bay, Bay of Islands, Mount Maunganui (with grandchildren Amy and Daniel) and Clevedon – all special in every aspect!

As for all the evenings (every night for a month) we have spent with our dear friends and family in their homes and in the odd restaurant - thank you so much for making the time to spend time with us - you certainly have made us feel very special to have you all as our friends!

Now it is time to head back to our home, Alpha Crucis – sitting very alone in St Katharine’s dock – to continue our journey (after catching up on sleep of course). The hard yards are behind us now in terms of sailing, and with summer fast approaching we are very excited about leaving London at the end of June to head for Scotland. We will transit the Caledonian Canal from Inverness to the west coast, then up to the Outer Hebrides and be in the Med by mid September. Our intention at this point, is to winter over in Turkey.

We return to London with a head full of wonderful memories and our hearts full of warm fuzzies – feeling very privileged that we continue to be living our dream!

Love Lois and Terry
